The golden age for the Denver Broncos were undoubtedly the John Elway
years. The Denver Broncos won back-to-back Super Bowls erasing painful memories
of three previous Super Bowl defeats in the space of four years. Those losses
occurred in the late 80's and were all blow-out defeats. The wins came against
the Packers and Falcons respectively and capped a magnificent career for Elway,
who was known for his ability to win games in the dying moments.
