Sports Betting Tips - Handicapping Late Season NFL Games
|
Author: MasterBets - Monday, December 19, 2005
The last few weeks of the NFL regular season offer tremendous sports betting value to the shrewd capper. The reason is simple - a lot of teams have packed it in and have little hope of covering the spread. Who are these teams, and how do you recognize value NFL lines?
Mycapper handicappers made clients a lot of easy money this past Sunday by identifying the following games where teams had nothing to play for: Bengals at Lions; Broncos at Bills; Panthers at Saints. In all three cases one of the teams had everything to play for - a playoff spot in the postseason and a division title. The other team involved had nothing to play for except "pride", which some teams feel more acutely than others.
The Bills have packed it in. They showed as much the week before when the Patriots demolished them. Why should it have been any different against the Broncos? Why should their remaining two games be any different either?
The Saints were disgruntled from the outset of the season. They are ripe for a blowout loss every time they step on the field.
The Lions were always likely to be blown out against the Bengals. They are another team in absolute disarray.
Then you have bad teams that will never pack it in, usually a reflection of their coach's personality. The Jets are a prime example, and we made good money taking the points with them on Sunday at Miami. The Titans are another outfit guaranteed to play hard. These are bad teams ability-wise, but they have plenty of heart.
