Sport: College FootballPick Selection: Rutgers and ASU Under
Take the Under in Rutgers-ASU at 8:30 ET. ASU has won three of their last four, but they haven't exactly set the world on fire against three marginal defenses in UCLA, Washington State and Arizona. Arizona State is a better than average passing team that doesn't do a whole lot on the ground, which will make things tough for them against a Rutgers rush D which has held the opposition 43 yards below their season average. ASU will try to pass against Rutgers, and I see them having a very hard time with that. With the exception of their demolition at the hands of Louisville, Rutgers has been playing very well. But if we see the Arizona State team that came out against USC in the first half - and they have the personnel and coaching to make that happen - Rutgers could have a hard time getting it going on offense. Remember, Rutgers put up just five points against Louisville. The way I see it, the layoff and a little rust on offense are a recipe for an under in this one.
