BAYLOR ? The Bears are hosting Missouri this week and, after the Tigers beat Colorado 58 to 0 last week, the line on Mizzou is simply getting out of hand in this match-up. To be favored by three touchdowns on the road against a talented Baylor offense is asking a lot of a Tigers team that could lose it?s focus here. There?s very little incentive for the Tigers here. Missouri simply wants to win and move forward. A lack of focus on the Bears could definitely result in a much closer game than most expect here. Baylor is at home and they have a QB in Griffin who is a huge dual threat. He has a rock solid ratio of 9 touchdowns against zero interceptions and his rushing ability is opposing defenses fits in terms of trying to contain him. The Bears did lose at Nebraska last week but they stayed within the big number and, once again, this week?s number appears to be over-inflated! Part of the reason for the big number posted on this game is the history of domination Missouri has against Baylor. However, these Bears are not the same weak Bears teams of old. They have a new coach in Art Briles, they have a very talented quarterback, and the result is a new attitude on this Baylor team. The Bears have suffered some ugly losses by big margins this season but since Week One that has only happened once at home and that was against Oklahoma. The Bears don?t want to see that happen again and there?s been enough improvement on this team to expect them to hang tight in this one. Look for the Tigers defense to struggle to stop Griffin and this also leaves the door open for a backdoor cover too (with Griffin?s skills) although it should not come to that. This is the Bears homecoming game and they aim to put a scare into Missouri by playing their best game of the season. They match-up well here with their talented receivers resulting in some mismatch problems for the Missouri secondary.
