Akron head coach Keith Dambrot has the Zips playing excellent basketball right now. At press time, UA was tops in the MAC in scoring offense (avg 77.9 ppg) and scoring margin (+11.3 ppg). That should be more than enough to get the job done against Cleveland State.
Since January 7th, 2002, CSU has struggled big-time in lined games versus opponents that own a won/loss percentage greater than .700 posting a dismal 0-22 SU and 7-15 ATS record. In addition, the Vikings are a soft 16-27-1 ATS at home coming off a conference game including a woeful 6-16 ATS in this role matched up against a foe that checks in off a straight up win.
As a road favorite or dog of +1 or less, the Zips have been solid posting a strong 16-8 SU and 15-9 ATS mark. In this end, this UA offense will be too much for CSU to handle. Take AKRON. Thank you and best of luck, Tom Stryker.
