Northern Illinois has defeated Ohio in each of the last two seasons and that fact isn't sitting too well with the Bobcats. The Huskies won in '04 by the score of 74-71 and against in the first meeting this year by the final of 64-59. Both victories were in DeKalb. This game is at the Convocation Center in Athens and that will prove to be the difference.
At home running with same season single revenge, Ohio owns are sparkling 22-11-1 ATS record including 14-4 ATS provided the Bobcats check in off an ATS win. Even better, OH is a tremendous 37-14 ATS in its own backyard matched up against a foe that enters off a double-digit straight up win.
Northern defends its homecourt well. But, get the Huskies on the road and they can be defeated. In its last 24 as a guest NIU is a dismal 6-18 SU and 9-15 ATS including 2-13 SU and 5-10 ATS matched up against an opponent that checks in off a SU win. With those two parameters applied and Northern entering off a conference game, this team trend dips to an ugly 0-10 SU and 2-8 ATS. Please note: Those 10 blemishes have come by an average of 13.5 points per game.
