#542 ILLINOIS CHICAGO (-) over Toledo by 14 at 8 PM EST
UIC has played four games at the Pavilion this season and won them all. The Flames knocked off Bradley by nine, Springfield by 26, Wisconsin Milwaukee by 18 and Wisconsin Green Bay by nine. That's an average victory margin of 15.5 points per game. Surely, Illinois Chicago can defeat a Toledo bunch that has failed to win on the road this year - 0-7 SU with an average loss by 15.9 points per game!
There are other technical reasons to like the Flames here too. Since the start of the 1999-2000 campaign, UIC is a respectable 54-38 ATS on its homecourt including 23-6 SU and 19-7 ATS in this set matched up against a non-conference opponent. On the visitor's side of the gym, Toledo stands 1-27 SU and 11-17 ATS as a guest facing a winning foe including a shocking 0-20 SU and 6-14 ATS in this set provided the Rockets do NOT enter off back-to-back straight up losses.
In their last three games, the Flames have been red hot from the floor connecting on 89-of-169 shots (52.7 percent) an averaged 84.0 points per game. Equally impressive, in their four home wins, UIC has been in a zone from the floor too draining 118-of-218 shots for 54 percent including 44-of-77 for 57 percent from behind the arc. The home versus road dichotomy is too juicy to pass up in this contest. Take Illinois Chicago. Thank you and best of luck, Tom Stryker.
