At 8 pm, our Sun Belt Game of the Year is on Middle Tennessee as the Blue Raiders fall into the 24-3 ATS system that we used on Thursday to win our Pac 10 Game of the Month on Oregon. What we want to do is play against any road team, priced as a dog or Pk, with a win percentage better than .375 that is off back to back SU/ATS wins, if it has same-season revenge against a foe that is off 3 SU/ATS losses. As I mentioned on Thursday, the knee-jerk reaction might be to play on the revenging hot team against the ice-cold team, but that's exactly what you don't want to do. Earlier this season, Middle Tennessee went down to Florida Atlantic and upset the Owls 72-68, but have struggled in February, and have now dropped five straight games (both SU and ATS). In contrast, Florida Atlantic has won 5 in a row, and has covered 7 straight. But as our system illustrates, it's often very profitable to invest in a team that's NOT playing well. Look for Middle Tennessee to snap out of its funk tonight, and blow out Florida Atlantic. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
