Sport: College HoopsPick Selection: KANSAS
I'm laying the points with KANSAS. Stephen Curry has certainly been impressive and his supporting cast did a solid job against Wisconsin. That being said, the Jayhawks are bigger, stronger, deeper and more athletic. They also take pleasure in punishing teams and have covered every game of the tournament thus far. They were laying -12 vs. Villanova and they won by 15. They were laying -13.5 vs. UNLV and they won by 19. Laying -21 in their opener, they won by 24. Prior to that, they closed out the Big 12 Tournament by beating Texas by double-digits. In fact, including those four "blowout victories," the Jayhawks have seen 15 of their last 16 victories come by double-digits. Now, due to Davidson's improbable run, the Jayhawks find themselves in a position where a double-digit victory also ensures a pointspread win. No matter what happens today, the Wildcats will leave with their heads held high. With the attention from the media growing with every win, I won't be surprised if they get "caught up in the moment" and finally endure a performance which isn't their best. The Jayhawks, on the other hand, were fully expected to be here. A loss today would be seen as failure. This is an extremely talented, deep and well-coached team and I don't expect them to allow that to happen. Look for the Jayhawks to slow down Curry and eventually wear down and overpower the smaller Wildcats, ending the Cinderella story and earning another double-digit win. *Elite 8 GOY
