Take the Mariners over the Orioles at 10:05 ET. Before Tuesday's game, Baltimore wasn't hitting much, scoring just 3.6 runs per game in their last seven while hitting .244. Against lefties, they have been very unsuccessful this season, winning just four of 14 games while hitting .233. Seattle, before Tuesday, was hitting .301 in its last seven games while scoring six runs per game. The Mariners will send Jarrod Washburn to the mound, and he's got a 2.29 ERA at home this season to go with a WHIP under 1. As well, he's 5-1, 3.10 in his career against the O's. Mariners are the play here.
Take the Under in Houston-Washington at 7:05 ET. In their last seven before Tuesday, Houston has scored 3.6 runs per game while hitting just .221. And the Nationals have had their problems on offense as well, scoring 2.9 runs per game in their last seven before Tuesday while hitting .202. Roy Oswalt goes for the Astros today, and he has a solid 3.57 ERA this season; his opponent, Mike O'Connor, has been very successful on the mound this year, with a 2.89 ERA on the major league level. Finally, Oswalt has been under in four of five career starts against the Nats, with a 2.52 ERA. Under is the play here.
