Under 9.5 New York Yankees/Detroit Tigers -110
We saw a lot of runs in Detroit last night but that will change on Wednesday as two of the best pitchers for their respective teams take the hill tonight. The Yankees home Mike Mussina can continue his dominating 2006 season as he has been nothing but quality this year. He is 11-1 in quality starts as he has not allowed more than three runs in any outing on the year. He has a 2.72 ERA and 0.98 WHIP on the season and those numbers decrease even more when he takes to the road.
The Tigers counter with Nate Robertson who has been pretty spectacular in his own right. Robertson has only one bad outing on the season and he has now gone seven straight starts not allowing more than three earned runs. Detroit is 5-2 in his seven home starts where he has an impressive ERA of 3.21 on the season. These are two solid offenses but this is not the stadium where we will see back-to-back offensive outbursts. Commerica is producing just 8.56 rpg, the lowest amount in the American League.
