Toronto Blue Jays (Halladay) -140
**82.3% Divisional Game of the Week** Toronto and Baltimore will end their series following the completion of their suspended game from last night so this game will not start on time and likely will go off around 2:00 PM ET at the earliest. It has been a disappointment for both sides, especially Toronto who came into the season thinking divisional contention. Pitching has been solid but the offense has not. The Blue Jays are 15-22 in one-run games and a reversal of that would put them right in the race. Toronto is 4-0 in its last four as a favorite of -150 or less.
Baltimore looked like contenders early in the season but it has been a huge struggle since mid-May. The Orioles were four games over .500 on May 17th at 23-19 but they have gone 25-32 in the 57 games since and the problem has been pitching. Baltimore has a 4.63 ERA on the season including a whopping 5.24 ERA from the starters. The former is third worst in the American League and goes up even more over the last 10 games. The Orioles have allowed 6.1 rpg over the last games and are Orioles are 1-7 in their last 8 games as an underdog.
Roy Halladay allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks in six innings of work against the Rays. It was very uncharacteristic for Halladay but we can expect a bounce back here. He allowed five runs against the Reds last month and he followed that up with a four-hit shutout in his next outing. The same held true early in the season when he gave up five runs to the Rays in April and followed that up by allowing just one ruin in 8.2 innings in Boston. He is 17-4 with a 2.93 ERA in 23 career starts against Baltimore.
The Orioles send Daniel Cabrera to the hill who once again is struggling with his control. He has walked 15 hitters over his last three starts and he has taken over the A.L. lead in walks with 62. It is no surprise his WHIP sits at 1.44. Cabrera has a string of eight straight quality starts in April and May but it has been all downhill since. Over his last nine starts in June and July, he has just two quality outings with an ERA of 6.00. The Orioles are 6-23 in Cabrera?s last 29 starts as an underdog between +110 to +150. The Blue Jays rip him again. Play Toronto Blue Jays 2.5 Units
