Sport: NBAPick Selection: Cleveland Cavaliers
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers plus the points over Dallas, as LeBron James & Co. play with revenge from a 95-92 loss at Dallas earlier this month. Revenge is key here, as winning teams are 73% ATS since 1990 at home off a road favorite loss, provided they are matched up against a foe off a road win that defeated them in the previous meeting. Yesterday, Cleveland had its 8-game win streak snapped with an overtime loss in Charlotte. Clearly, the Cavs were looking ahead to tonight's game at Quicken Loans Arena. I look for James and Larry Hughes to lead the Cavs to a win tonight. James scored 39 in that 3-point loss at Dallas, and has poured in an average of 39.5 ppg in his last four meetings vs. the Mavericks. Also, Cleveland was without Hughes in that first meeting (he was out with the flu), yet still came within three points of the league's #1 team. Hughes scored 17 last night, and, as a second option, will free up James a bit. Take the Cavs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
