Sport: NFLPick Selection: Arizona Cardinals
At 4:05 pm, our NFC West Game of the Month is on the Arizona Cardinals plus the points over Seattle. A lot has been made about how the loser of the Super Bowl underperforms the following year, and the Seahawks have not done anything this year to reverse that trend. Seattle is 4-7-1 ATS, including 1-5 ATS on the road. The 'sweet spot' for going against the loser of the Super Bowl is to fade it on the road when priced from Pk to -4 points, and that is the situation here vs. Arizona. Since 1993, our Super Bowl losers are 5-28 ATS, including 0-2 already this season when Seattle failed to cover at St. Louis and at San Francisco. And if our Super Bowl loser's win percentage is .600 or better, then our 28-5 stat moves to a perfect 15-0 ATS. In the first meeting between these two teams, the Seahawks sacked QB Kurt Warner en route to a 21-10 victory. But Matt Leinart replaced the veteran Warner seven games ago, and the Cards have gone a respectable 4-3 ATS since then. Take Arizona. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. And don't miss my Division Game of the Year winner on Sunday, or my 3-game package.
