#160 NY GIANTS (+) over Dallas by 10 at 4:15 PM EST
Forget about what New York has done over the past few weeks. That's water under the bridge. Instead, focus on the simple fact that the lead in the NFC East will belong to the G-Men provided they can slip past the Cowboys.
After last week's shocking loss at Tennessee, New York called a players only meeting (with head coach Tom Coughlin's blessing) in order to iron out the kinks. It was a professional move on the part of several players and a determined and focused effort from the Giants is expected. Let's take a look inside the numbers.
There will be several analysts crying revenge here. Back on October 23rd, New York strolled into Dallas and upset the 'Boys 36-22. Don't fall into that trap one bit. The G-Men has dropped three straight and they'll come into this important division battle all fired up. Overall, the host in this NFC East series has performed well en route to a strong 34-17 SU and 32-17-2 ATS record including 10-2 ATS in this set priced as an underdog of +6.5 or less.
Dallas is playing its best ball of the season and that fact is noted. However, this is not the spot for the Cowboys. As a guest coming off a straight up non-division victory, the Boys are a woeful 3-21 SU and 4-20 ATS. Also, on the road coming off a straight up home win, Dallas is a disturbing 9-23 ATS in its last 32 tries.
There is a strong system that goes against the Cowboys as well. Technically speaking, game six or later guests coming off a blowout win of 21 points or more are a stiff 45-85-3 ATS provided their opponent checks in off a SU and ATS road loss. Dallas is locked into this ugly play against situation.
With a road game at Carolina on deck, New York knows it must take care of business. It will certainly help knowing that the Giants stand tall at 61-24 SU and 52-30-3 ATS in their last 85 tries as a division host. Take NEW YORK.
