Sport: NFLPick Selection: Titans @ Texans: Houston
Regardless whether or not Vince Young starts for the Titans, I'm playing on HOUSTON. The Titans have been on an impressive pointspread run, dating back to last season. However, they've now failed to cover in consecutive weeks for the first time in the "Vince Young era." Playing the second of back to back road games and facing an extremely motivated opponent, I expect them to stumble once again this afternoon. If Houston players and fans could choose one game to win this season, this would likely be the one. Not only did the Titans sweep them each of the last two seasons but Houston fans are still bitter about missing out on Vince Young. The Texans are much improved this year though. They didn't play well last week but had been highly competitive before that. The Texans have been particularly tough at home, going 4-1 SU/ATS their last five home games. The lone loss came against the Colts, a team they had beaten late last season. Despite their struggles against the Titans the past couple of years, the Texans are still a profitable 8-4-1 ATS the last 13 times they hosted a divisional opponent. While the Texans are 4-0 their last four home games in October, the Titans are now 1-3 their last four road games in October. The Titans are currently slight favorites. That's worth mentioning as we find them at just 4-9-1 ATS the last 14 times they were road favorites of three points or less. This is a defining game for the Texans and I look for a huge effort on both sides of the ball, resulting in a win and cover. *AFC South Game of the Year
