Sport: NFLPick Selection: Falcons @ Saints: New Orleans
Last weekend I had the Saints as my ?BookieKiller? selection, and they finally got in the win column with a convincing road victory over the heavily favored Seahawks. Bush gained 141 yards, Brees threw for 246 and receiver David Patten had eight catches for 113 yards on a breakout day for New Orleans (1-4), which hadn't scored more than 14 points in four previous losses. In this one, the Saints had three touchdowns by the middle of the second quarter, led 28-10 at halftime and were coasting by the fourth quarter. Sean Payton?s game plan is obvious, and deadly: make sure Reggie Bush gets as many touches as possible. To say the Atlanta Falcons are a team in disarray would be an understatement. The Falcons are coming off a beat down loss at home by the hands of the New York Giants; a fluke Morten Anderson FG and a lucky runback are the only points they put on the board. The Falcons are struggling on both sides of the ball and seem to be a divided locker room. With consecutive games at home against the Falcons and 49?ers, Payton knows that a concerted effort on home ground could almost turn the season around for them; my NFL ?BLOWOUT? Game of the Year is on the SAINTS!
