The Patriots games are starting to get borderline ridiculous with the lines. New England is a 24-point favorite over the Eagles which is now the biggest point spread in the history of the NFL. There have been two other times a line has been in the 20?s and that was back in the 90?s with the 49ers. San Francisco failed to cover those games by the way. New England could win this game 56-10 like it did last week but the Eagles are no slouches and should be motivated being such huge dogs.
Philadelphia is without Donovan McNabb for this game and that jumped the line eight points from when it opened and he was still questionable. A.J. Feeley will make the start and there is no way that McNabb is eight points better. Feeley played great in relief last Sunday against the Dolphins as he completed 13-19 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles have won two straight games and possess a defense that can slow down the Patriots. Philadelphia is 9th in total defense and 10th in scoring defense.
The Eagles offense has been extremely inconsistent with McNabb in at quarterback and with Feeley in now, we could see more of Brian Westbrook. That is the best way to keep the Patriots offense off the field. Play on road underdogs or pick after scoring seven points or less in the first half in two straight games going up against an opponent after a game where 60 total points or more were scored. This situation is 50-21 ATS (70.4 percent) since 1983. This line is ludicrous and the take is the way to go. Play Philadelphia Eagles 2 Units
