Sport: NFLPick Selection: UNDER titans/colts
I'm playing on Indianapolis and Tennessee to finish UNDER the total. The Titans have put themselves in position to make the playoffs with a solid running game and a stingy defense. They've rushed for at least 127 yards each of the past four games, and their defense has allowed just 16.5 points per game and forced 10 turnovers over that span. Last week, they held the Jets to a mere six points (10-6 final) in a game which stayed below the number by more than 20 points. For the season, they've seen the UNDER go a healthy 9-5-1, including 2-0 in their games on turf. The Colts have held each of their last two opponents to 15 points or less and they've seen the UNDER go 6-4 their past 10. Regardless of how seriously the Colts treat this game, I expect Dungy's defense to play well. Although he's been fortunate to have a QB like Manning, deep down, Dungy is still a conservative and defensive coach. He knows that it was the defense which carried his team through the AFC playoffs and to the Super Bowl last season and he'll be anxious to have his team enter the playoffs playing well on that side of the ball. The Colts find don't often find themselves in the underdog role. However, that's the case here. That's worth noting as we find the UNDER at 3-0 the past three times they were getting points. Looking at the series history and we find the UNDER at a perfect 5-0 since 2005. That includes a 14-13 contest in the most recent meeting here in Indianapolis. I'm expecting another low-scoring affair this evening.
