NFL Pick

Sunday **81.2% NFL Underdog of the Week +25K Run** - 12/2/2007 1:00:00 PM

  • Sport: NFL
  • Pick Selection: Houston Texans +4 -110

  • Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans 1:00 PM ET

    Houston Texans +4 -110

***NFL Underdog of the Week*** The Texans fell a touchdown short of a cover in Cleveland last Sunday but it was a game they should have covered and should have won for that matter. Houston didn't put up many points at Cleveland last week, but lost in the Browns' seventh victory was the fact that the Texans fumbled twice inside the opposing 25. Owen Daniels also dropped an easy pass on Cleveland's five-yard line. Head coach Gary Kubiak is in a favorable spot as he has led the Texans to a 4-0 record in road games following a road loss.

Tennessee was the talk of the AFC as being a sleeper team to make the playoffs and even give the Colts a run. Well that is not going to happen and the Titans are playing their worst football of the season. They have dropped three straight including an inexcusable blowout last Sunday in Cincinnati. Tennessee has won five straight in this series and that is why we are getting value with this line. The last four meetings have been decided by an average of 3.8 ppg so the Titans may be winning but hardly dominating.

The bread and butter for Tennessee is its running game but it has been outrushed in the last three games by a total of 224 yards. When the running game isn?t doing much, the Titans have no chance since Vince Young remains one of the worst passing quarterbacks in the league. He has a 65.3 quarterback rating which is 30th in the NFL. He has five touchdowns to go along with 13 interceptions and he has led the offense to a minute average of 13 ppg during the three-game skid.

This is obviously a revenge game for Houston and the Texans are lines up in a spectacular revenge situation. Play on road underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points that are revenging a loss against opponent, with a winning percentage of between 40 and 49 percent in the second half of the season. This situation is 26-6 ATS (81.2 percent) over the last 10 seasons. Look for the Titans to continue struggling while Houston goes after the outright win on Sunday. Play Houston Texans 2 Units
