Indianapolis Colts -9 -105
***Blue Ribbon of the Week*** You can call this a revenge game for the Colts but in reality it isn?t such a contest as they beat themselves more than the Colts did. Peyton Manning tossed six interceptions (yes six) in that first meeting, he was without Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark, the Chargers had two special teams touchdown yet Indianapolis still could have won the game if not for an Adam Vinatieri missed field goal. Basically, with that type of stuff going on, the Colts should have lost by 30 points yet were right in it. Imagine if things actually go right for the Colts. Well, I expect that to happen this Sunday. The Chargers headed into the playoffs as the hottest team, outside Foxboro that is, but that doesn?t always equate to wins or even good games for that matter. San Diego is riding a seven-game winning streak following that game last Sunday against the Titans. The Chargers did not play well at all and did not look like a playoff team. Of those seven wins, only two came against teams in the playoffs and both of those were against the Titans. The record of the other five teams was 27-53, none of which were above .500. They went just 1-3 against the other teams ranked in the top 10 in the league and that lone victory was the aforementioned game against the Colts. The three defeats all came against current playoff teams and all were on the road so this is a team that cannot be trusted away from home in the playoffs. Traveling east does not help matters while going into the RCA Dome is even worse. Give Manning two weeks to prepare for a game, where he is 5-1, is a recipe for disaster for the opposition. The Chargers have limited Manning to a 71.3 rating in five career games but this will be the first where he has had two weeks to get ready and the first with same season revenge. He gets Harrison back as well as offensive tackle Ryan Diem and the injury chart has been as clean as it has been all season. Look for the rout in Indianapolis on Sunday.
