Sport: NHLPick Selection: UNDER
I'm playing on Montreal and Boston to finish UNDER the number. These teams have played surprisingly high-scoring games against each other this season, including a 4-2 Montreal win two nights ago. However, with the playoffs drawing much closer and with tonight's result meaning a great deal to both teams, I'm expecting to see a tight low-scoring game. Note that despite Thursday's game slipping above the number, the Canadiens have still seen the UNDER go 4-2 their past six games. They recorded two shutouts during that stretch and were also shutout once. Its also worth mentioning that Thursday's game could easily have fallen below the total as it was scoreless after the first period and still 2-1 after five minutes of the third period had been played. While the Canadiens have seen the UNDER go 13-8-1 on Saturday's this season, the Bruins have seen the UNDER go 15-7-1 when they've played on a Saturday. The Bruins have also seen the UNDER go 12-7-2 after allowing four or more goals in their previous game and 11-6-1 after a loss by two goals or less. Additionally, we find the UNDER at 18-8 when they've faced a team with a winning record. In fact, prior to Thursday's game, the Bruins had seen six straight contests fall below the number. Those games had scores of 2-1, 1-0, 4-1, 3-1, 3-2 and 2-1. That's an average of just 3.5 goals per game. At 5.5, I feel we're geting solid value with the UNDER. *Northeastern Division Total of the Month
