Nieminen breezed past Marcos Baghdatis in the first round and got to the quarter-finals of Adelaide last week. Goldstein only managed to salvage three games in their only meeting against each other in Delray Beach and Goldstein got fortunate in his first round match against Volandri, as Volandri had to pull out in the second set due to sickness. We see Nieminen being much too solid in this one and see him advancing.
